Donna M. Geist

Donna M. (Connolly) Geist, 61, of Royersford, PA, passed away on December 16, 2021 surrounded by her family. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Steven Geist, and daughters Caitlyn Geist of Royersford, PA and Rachel (Dennison), wife of Jason Poth of South Portland, ME. Born and raised in Yeadon, PA to the late MaryEllen (Chappelle) and Harry J. Connolly III, Donna was the oldest of her four siblings. She was always the protector of her younger brothers and sister; Harry J. IV husband of MaryAnne Connolly of Seattle, WA, Kathleen wife of Sean McCann of Philadelphia, PA, and Joseph husband of Misse Connolly of Alden, PA. Donna was a graduate of Archbishop Prendergast in Drexel Hill (78') and RETS Institute in King Of Prussia, PA, followed by starting a career in technology repair, moving up to the management team. It was at Sorbus in King of Prussia that she met the love of her life, Steven Geist. Together they moved to Royersford to raise their family. In 2002, Donna had a life-altering stroke. Steven, along with her daughter Caitlyn, cared for her in her home for the last 19 years. Without their dedication, she would not have been able to remain at home as was her wish. Donna loved her family fiercely, never afraid to grab our sleeves and remind us of that fact. She especially loved family parties and celebrating holidays with all of her nieces and nephews; Zach, Sean, Pete, Beth, Bridgid, Michael, Alex, Luke, Joey, Connor, Harry V, Olivia and Samantha . Donna was also an avid reader. She loved Science Fiction books and Marvel comics, collecting both starting from a young age. Her book cases were full of Issac Asimov and Dune novels. Donna loved the X-Men so much she named one of her daughters after a character from the comics. It was a comfort to her to gift all of her beloved books to her son-in-law Jason who is still sorting through them to this day. She taught her daughters to donate blood, vote, and to be organ donors. Donna loved children, and she loved to talk to and engage with kids whenever she was out and about. Never thinking about herself, she always wanted to make sure everyone was comfortable and happy, constantly buying gifts for her loved ones to remind them of how special they were to her.
