Carolann M. Anderson

Carolann M. (Glasgow) Anderson, age 78, wife of the late Allan James Anderson, of Audubon, Pennsylvania, peacefully passed away on Friday, January 28, 2022, in Bryn Mawr Hospital. Born on October 7, 1943, in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Katherine (O'Neill) and Leslie Glasgow. A graduate of Little Flower High School, Carolann had been employed as a Catholic school elementary teacher for four years at St. Basil School, Blessed Virgin Mary School, and St. Jerome School, all in Philadelphia. Carolann spent many years as a homemaker, but also served as bookkeeper for her husband's home improvement business. Carolann had a love of reading and was a devout Catholic. A dedicated parishioner of St. Teresa of Avila Church in Audubon, Carolann placed her faith above all else in her life and encouraged others to do the same. Carolann's ultimate vocation was to serve as a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, whose family was everything to her. She volunteered as a den mother for her children's Cub Scout organization and enjoyed playing board games and cards with her children and grandchildren. Carolann loved time spent with her sisters, who truly were her best friends. They loved taking trips to the shore and the mountains together which led to treasured memories that she held dear to her heart. Carolann was an amazing listener and a great peacemaker who saw the best in every person she encountered. She possessed unmatched patience and a soothing voice of reason to anyone looking for advice. Carolann is survived by her children: Allan L., husband of Lori Anderson, of Phoenixville, Sandra L., wife of Gregory Artman, of Audubon and Keith G., husband of Lori Anderson, of King of Prussia; grandchildren: Tyler, Nicholas, Stephen, Luke, Christopher, Megan, and Tommy; sisters: Kathy Lex, of Phoenixville and Linda Sullivan, of Oaks; and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Mass on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at 10:00 am, at St. Teresa of Avila Church, 1260 South Trooper Road, Audubon. Officiating will be the Rev. J. Jerome Wild. Interment will follow at the Valley Forge Memorial Gardens, King of Prussia. Friends will be received from 8:45 am - 9:45 am Saturday at St. Teresa of Avila Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Carolann's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, www.stjude.org/donate.
