Elaine (Borden) Shillingford, age 95, wife of the late Harry Shillingford, of Spring City, Pennsylvania, passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 in Parkhouse Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Royersford. Born on September 1, 1927 in Lima, Pennsylvania, she was the eldest of nine children of Isabel (Fritz) and Jack Borden.

Elaine was employed most of her life as a waitress, having served at the Lamb Tavern in Springfield, as well as other establishments around Delaware County and at the shore. She had also been employed as the first woman cab driver in Newtown Square. She was a licensed realtor in Pennsylvania. Elaine was a former resident of the Flag House in Spring City, where she had many friends and was a member of the Pottstown Senior Center.

Elaine is survived by children: Patricia S. Howard, of Havertown, Pamela Shillingford, of West Chester, Theresa, wife of Kurt McBride, of Seaside, CA, Deborah, wife of Brian Shaw, of Glenmoore, Harry Shillingford; twelve grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons: Charles and John Shillingford.
