Evelyn P. Lorenz

Evelyn P. Lorenz, age 104, of Collegeville, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 28, 2020 in the Peter Becker Community. Born on October 4, 1915 in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, she was a daughter of the late N. Earl Patrick and Laura P. Shoemaker. Evelyn was a dedicated parishioner of the St. John UCC Church of Phoenixville for many years where she was involved in many church groups and organizations such as the church choir, Sunday school teacher, and a member of the Women’s Guild. Evelyn was also very active in the Business and Professional Women's Club of Phoenixville. In her spare time Evelyn enjoyed knitting and crocheting and was a longtime member of a local card club where she loved to play pinochle with her close friends. She also enjoyed travelling and visited several European countries and many states of the U.S. Evelyn worked at Kabatt’s Bakery in Phoenixville for many years and was retired from Synthane Taylor. But most of all she enjoyed spending as much time as she could with her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and dear friend to many and she will be missed by all. Evelyn is survived by her one daughter, Jane E. Levengood; two grandsons, Charles Levengood, and Robert Levengood; one granddaughter, Gwendolyn Ward; three great granddaughters, Emily Ward, Elizabeth Levengood, and Grace Levengood; and three great grandsons, Colin Ward, Michael Levengood, and Matthew Levengood. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service at Campbell Ennis Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc, 610 South Main Street, Phoenixville, Pennsylvania on Friday, July 3, 2020 at 11:00 am. Officiating will be Rev. Raymond J. Jachowski. Burial will be held privately in the Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Spring City, Pennsylvania. Friends will be received from 10:00 am 11:00 am Friday at Campbell Ennis Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc. Contributions may be made to the St. John UCC Church, 315 Gay St. Phoenixville PA, 19460.
