Joan (Fox) Weaver

Joan (Fox) Weaver, wife of George W. Weaver, of Phoenixville, PA, passed away on Friday evening, November 1, 2013 in the Seasons Hospice. Born in Phoenixville, she was a daughter of the late James T. and Catherine (Baier) Fox. Mrs. Weaver was a 1951 graduate of Phoenixville High School. She was a member of St. Ann Roman Catholic Church in Phoenixville. Mrs. Weaver was employed by the Westover Golf Club for many years. Joan loved to be involved in the daily needs and drama of her children and grandchildren. Filled with compassion and interest in others, she made friends easily and maintained contact with many. She enjoyed good food and socializing and had a wonderful, sweet smile that would light up a room. Her last days were a tribute to her vivacious personality as she was surrounded by family and friends who were able to express their love. Joan will be forever loved and dearly missed by her family. In addition to her husband of 62 years, Mrs. Weaver is survived by one daughter, Lisa Consolo, wife of Bruce R. Consolo of Phoenixville; three sons, P.G., husband of Dorothy K. Weaver of Kimberton; Michael J., husband of Ellen K. Weaver of East Vincent; and Timothy J. Weaver of Philadelphia; two siblings, Sr. Maureen Laura I.H.M. of the Sacred Heart Convent, Lancaster; and James T. Fox III of Kimberton; eight grandchildren, Paul Weaver, Eric Consolo, Meredith Weaver, Gregory Weaver, Carly Ann Consolo, Brian Consolo, Shana Weaver, and C.J. Weaver; two great grandchildren, Lilla and Dylan Consolo; and nieces and nephews, James Fox IV, Krista Brogan, Bobby Fox, and Laurie Head. She was preceded in death in 1969 by one son, James Thomas Weaver. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral mass at the St. Ann Roman Catholic Church, Main Street at Third Avenue, Phoenixville, on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at 11:00 AM. Officiating will be the Rev. John J. Newns. Burial will follow in the St. Ann Cemetery. Friends will be received at the Church on Wednesday from 9:15 - 10:45 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sisters of I.H.M., Camilla Hall, 1140 King Road, Immaculata, PA 19345.
