John Anthony Ricci

John Anthony Ricci, age 46, husband of Dianne Harleigh (Myers) Ricci of Royersford, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, on Sunday, December 21, 2025 in his residence. Born on February 23, 1979, in Pottstown, he was a son of John Joseph Ricci and Pamela Marie (Cross) Ricci. After six months of dating, John and Dianne married, something that she knew would happen from the very first date and something typical of his loving and adventurous spirit. From the very beginning, they led an incredible life together filled with more adventure. Some was fun and some not some much; like the impromptu 9-mile family hike with no water. No matter the situation, John navigated life with Dianne by his side, holding hands, always whispering three words: "We got this." John will be fondly remembered by his family for his love of his three-pillow system, blaring music while playing along with his bass guitar until wee hours of the morning, and not just building a potato gun for the kids, but building the world's only potato bazooka. John was once crowned Cannonball Champion of the World, having won a cannonball competition much to his children's delight, aboard a Royal Caribbean cruise ship. He was a master of Excel, proudly showing Dianne his merits of a pivot table, although who really knows what a pivot table really is?. John was a great lover of whimsy, systems of organization, and he badly pretended that he wasn't a "dog person" even though he got each of his kids their own dog and then snuggled with them after the kids went to school. John was the best cook, single handedly preparing Thanksgiving dinner for seventeen people just weeks ago. He also recently won with team Smoke Show at Dugan's Rib-Off, and received awards for Best Appetizer and People's Choice. John gave the best hugs, had the deepest love for his wife and children, and would often whisper to Dianne when one of the children did something cool, "We made these people, wow", each time with a little awe. In addition to his loving wife and parents, John is survived by his children: Thomas Jackson Ricci, James Patrick Ricci, and Raegan Leigh Ricci, siblings: Magnolia (Steven) Cox, Ernest (Jennifer) Ricci, and Genevieve Ricci, Goddaughters: Cecelia and Mila Ricci, several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at 11:00 am, at the Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford. Officiating will be the Rev. David Kubczak. Friends will be received from 9:30 - 11:00 am.
