Kenneth E. Tincher

Kenneth Earl Tincher, 75, beloved husband, father, grandfather and dear friend, passed away surrounded by his family on a snowy Thursday morning, February 11, 2021 at Abington Memorial Hospital. Born on September 5, 1945, in Norristown, PA, he was the only son of the late Dorothy (Hookway) Tincher. Ken attended Spring-Ford Area High School before honorably serving in the United States Army overseas in Germany during the Vietnam War. He had been employed as a pipe-fitter for Occidental Chemical in Pottstown and retired from there in 2005. Ken was also a dedicated member of the American Legion Post 602, Spring City, PA. Ken was an avid golfer and had a passion for all things golf. Any vacations that were taken (and there were many!) revolved around beautiful courses up and down the East Coast for them to visit and play on. Some of his favorites were TPC Sawgrass at Ponte Vedra, FL, Heritage Club at Pawley's Island and Ford's Colony in Williamsburg, VA. Ken had been a member of Twin Ponds Golf Course in Gilbertsville and most recently, was a proud member of Talamore Country Club in Horsham. He enjoyed spending as much time as he could on those challenging greens. He loved the peacefulness that golfing brought him but also enjoyed the competitive nature of it too. When he wasn't able to be out on the links, Ken enjoyed watching movies, even if he had seen them multiple times. It never mattered that he knew the ending. He also enjoyed watching football; his commitment and love for his Dallas Cowboys was never wavering. Ken also had a passion for sports cars, including his latest favorite, his BMW Coupe, to which he was currently making performance upgrades. (Much to their excitement, he allowed some of his grandchildren to drive it and some even drove it to prom! What a cool Pop-Pop!) Ken also had a great love for his dogs including his two Dobermans and his most recently rescued pup, his buddy Bogey. But most of all, Ken enjoyed when the entire family would gather at their home to celebrate birthdays, holidays and the much anticipated annual Christmas Eve celebration. It could get crazy but he wouldn't have it any other way. In addition to his loving wife, Renee (D'Amico) Papineau Tincher, of nearly 24 years, Ken is survived by his two sons, Kenneth E. Tincher Jr (Alison) of South Coventry, PA and Michael Tincher of Spring City, PA; two stepdaughters, Kimberly McCleary (Geoff) of Furlong, PA and Jeanine Mergen (Andrew) of Horsham, PA. He will also be sorely missed by his six grandchildren: Tyler Tincher, Shannon, Riley and Gage McCleary and Shane and Nicholas Mergen. Friends and family are invited to visit with the family from 11:00am-12:00pm on Monday, March 1, 2021 at Limerick Garden of Memories in the Good Shepherd Chapel (44 E.
