Lois S. Moore

Lois S. Moore, age 85, wife of the late Gerald F. Moore, of Phoenixville, PA, passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2017 in Seasons Hospice, Phoenixville. Born on December 14, 1931 in Phoenixville, PA, she was a daughter of the late C. Arthur and Eva (Palsgrove) Sturges. Mrs. Moore was a 1949 graduate of Phoenixville High School, and was a graduate of Pierce Junior College. She was an active member of Centennial Lutheran Church in Kimberton. She was past Matron of the Manavon Chapter #496 and a member of the Freeland Chapter #323 of the Order of the Eastern Star, and a Past and Present Association, Region 14A member. Mrs. Moore was a life member of the Kimberton Fire Company Auxiliary and a member of the Kimberton Community Fair, a member of the Phoenixville AARP #713, a member of the Phoenixville Senior Center, and the Kimberton Grange. Mrs. Moore also served as the tax collector for many years in East Pikeland Township, and served as an officer in the Coldstream Crossing Community Association. Mrs. Moore is survived by two sons, Gary F., husband of Barbara Moore of Spring City, PA, and Neal S., husband of Amanda Moore of Downingtown, PA; one sister, Virginia Lawrence of Audubon, PA; five grandchildren, Cody, Dana, Alexis, Collin, and Peyton; one niece, Cindy Gorge and one grand-niece, Emily Gorge. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral ceremony at the Centennial Lutheran Church, 1330 Hares Hill Road, P.O. Box 840, Kimberton, PA 19442 on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at 11:00 am. Officiating will be Rev. Gerald L. Tancredi. Burial will be held privately. Friends will be received from 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc, Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville, with an Eastern Star service at 7:30 PM. A visitation will take place on Thursday, November 2, 2017 from 10:30 am - 11:00 am at the church. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Church at the address above.
