Margaret M. Klutchka

Margaret M. Klutchka, age 91, wife of the late Nicholas Klutchka, passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2019 surrounded by family at her home in The Willows of Living Branches in Hatfield, PA. Marge was born on March 30, 1928 in Philadelphia, PA. She was a daughter of the late William and Mary (Suvak) Makara. Marge grew up in South Philadelphia and was a graduate of Southern High School. After marrying Nick in 1955, they moved to Sharon Hill, PA where they lived and raised their two sons. She was a member of the Sharon Hill Women's Club, enjoyed being a Den Mother for her sons' Cub Scout groups and her work as a secretary for the township and for a local doctor's office. She was a long time parishioner of Assumption of the Holy Virgin Orthodox church in South Philadelphia and for many years was an active member of the Holy Ghost Orthodox Church in Phoenixville, where she volunteered and spent many hours baking for various church fund raisers. For the past five years, she has resided at The Willows of Living Branches where she made many dear friends. Marge was loved for her wit and sense of humor which will be missed by everyone who knew her. She enjoyed games, playing cards and doing puzzles. She will be remembered best for her devotion to her faith, children, grandchildren, and family. Marge is survived by two sons, Mark N., husband of Marcy Klutchka of Harleysville, PA, and Nicholas W., husband of Diane Klutchka of Perkasie, PA; five grandchildren, Lauren Klutchka, Steven Klutchka, Paige Klutchka, Timothy, husband of Christina Klutchka, and Joseph Klutchka; two great-grandchildren; and many loved nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Klutchka was preceded in death by seven siblings, John Makara, William Makara, Mary Kavchok, Ann Varhula, Julia Makara, Helen Alexander, and Pauline Zak. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at Holy Ghost Orthodox Church, Starr and Bridge Streets, Phoenixville, PA on Thursday, December 19, 2019 at 12:00 pm. Officiating will be The Very Rev. Peter Paproski. Burial will be held in the Holy Ghost Orthodox Church Cemetery, Phoenixville, PA. Friends will be received from 11:15 am - 12:00 pm Thursday at the Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Living Branches Benevolent Fund, Living Branches Foundation, 275 Dock Drive, Lansdale, PA 19446.
