Marilyn Kocsi

Marilyn ‘Molly' (Druckenmiller) Kocsi, a homemaker and retired register nurse, passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2008, in the Mercy Suburban Hospital, Norristown, after a long illness at the age of 73. Born June 20, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Guy F., Sr. and Merle A. (Kline) Druckenmiller, of Phoenixville. Mrs. Kocsi, of Plymouth Valley, grew up in Phoenixville, where she graduated from Phoenixville High School. She was nominated for the ‘Who's Who in American High School; received honors for her choral and solo work; and was a published poet. She was a graduate of the former Lankenau Hospital School of Nursing, where she was a member of the Alumni Association. She was employed by Phoenixville Hospital until her marriage and then returned at Sacred Heart Hospital, Norristown, until her medical retirement. She was employed briefly as a pharmacy technician at the former Mario's Park Ridge pharmacy. Mrs. Kocsi was a former member of the choir, the Alter Guild, and a past president of the Women's Guild of the Olivet United Church of Christ, and a former volunteer with the ‘Singing City' choir of Philadelphia and the American Cancer Society. Surviving are daughter, Susan M., wife of Robert N. Moore, of Lansdale, sons: Mark D. husband of Colleen Kocsi, of Skippack, Brian J., husband of Judith Kocsi, of Lancaster, Robert W. husband of Kimberly Kocsi, of Lansdale, grandchildren Caley, Jennifer, Dana, Krystie, Lauren, Elizabeth, Kathryn, and Kevin, great-grandson Ayden Joseph Keller, step-grand-daughter, Stephanie Heigt; brother Guy F. Druckenmiller, Jr., of St. Louis, Missouri, God-Daughter Jill Matlack; three nieces and five nephews. Mrs. Kocsi was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Joseph W. Kocsi, in 2001, brother Bruce E. Druckenmiller, and a God-son and nephew David S. Kocsi. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc. Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville on Monday, April 14, 2008, at 11 AM. Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. Harry L. Serio. Burial will be in the Morris Cemetery, Phoenixville. Friends may call from 10-11 AM.
