Mildred E. (Wilson) Poet, age 93, wife of the late Charles F. Poet, Sr., of Phoenixville, passed away on Monday, November 28, 2016 in her residence. Born on September 14, 1923 in Phoenixville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Walter T. Wilson Sr. and Mary E. Wilson.
Mildred had been employed at the former JR Hollingsworth Co. in Phoenixville, until the birth of her son. A homemaker, family came first and foremost, and meant everything. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mildred was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Phoenixville. She enjoyed puzzles, crocheting, gardening and watching wrestling on TV.
Mrs. Poet is survived by her grandchildren: Brenda L. Pearsall, of Mohnton and Charles F. Poet III and wife Kim Poet, of Shillington; and great-grandchildren: Cameron Poet, Jenna Pearsall and Jordan Poet. She was preceded in death by her son: Charles F. Poet Jr.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville, on Friday, December 2, 2016 at 11:00 am. Officiating will be Rev. Mark Young. Interment will follow in the Morris Cemetery, Phoenixville. Friends will be received from 10:00 - 11:00 am Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in Mildred's name to the First United Methodist Church of Phoenixville, 865 South Main Street, Phoenixville, PA 19460.
