Robert L. Yerger II

Robert L. Yerger II, age 77, husband of Sharon L. (Yost) Yerger, of Pottstown, PA, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 in the Pottstown Hospital - Tower Health. Born on July 13, 1942 in Pottstown, PA, he was a son of the late Robert L. and Edythe B. (Houck) Yerger. Mr. Yerger was a graduate of Owen J. Roberts High School. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps, attaining rank of Corporal. He worked as a heavy equipment operator, and most recently as a plumber. In his youth, Mr. Yerger was a Boy Scout and loved playing baseball. He enjoyed gardening, and operated a roadside stand, "Pop-Pop's Produce." He loved feeding the birds, and was an avid woodworker. Most importantly, he enjoyed spending time with his family, watching his grandchildren and furry friends, and playing scrabble with his sister, Diane. In addition to his wife of 50 years, Mr. Yerger is survived by four daughters, Laura L., wife of James A. Stone Jr. of Santa Fe, TX, Yvonne C., wife of John B. Seber Jr. of Spring City, PA, Julie A., wife of Patrick E. Bell of Spring City, PA, and Holly L. Yerger, partner of Joe Lederer of Spring City, PA; nine grandchildren, Jennifer, wife of Daniel Duke, James Stone III, fiance of Mary Valicek, Jason Stone, John Seber III, Elizabeth Seber, Cheyanne Seber, Serena Seber, Bobby Bell, and Abby Bell; four great-grandchildren, Ian, Gavin, Owen, and Piper Duke; sister, Diane, wife of James Clemmer of Telford, PA; many nieces and nephews; and his loving grand pups, Dennis, Winston and Kole. Mr. Yerger was preceded in death by one grandson, Joshua Stone, and one brother, John W. Yerger. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral ceremony at the Cattermole - Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA on Monday, February 10, 2020 at 11:00 am. Officiating will be Rev. David R. Willauer. Burial will be held privately. Friends will be received from 9:30 am - 11:00 am Monday at the funeral home.
