Roger P. Fitzgerald, age 73, husband of Dorothea (Lederer) Fitzgerald, of Nicholson, PA, formerly of Spring City, PA, passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 in his home. Born in Darby, PA, he was a son of the late Richard W. and Adele R. (Friese) Fitzgerald.

Mr. Fitzgerald was a 1958 graduate of the former Lansdowne-Aldan High School. He served in the United States Navy Reserve as an aviation electrician. Mr. Fitzgerald worked as a delivery driver for UPS for over 20 years.

In addition to his wife of 49 years, Mr. Fitzgerald is survived by four children, Matthew S., husband of Michele (Staub) Fitzgerald of Phoenixville, Michelle E. Trainor of Fairfax, VA, Lori J. Keihl of New Milford, PA, and Nathan P. Fitzgerald of Downingtown; and seven grandchildren, Madison T. and Meredith G. Fitzgerald; Joshua C., Katherine A., and Benjamin J. Trainor; and Spencer J. and Riley A. Keihl.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at the Parkerford Baptist Church, 92 Baptist Church Road, Parker Ford, PA 19457 on Thursday, December 5, 2013 at 11:00 AM. Officiating will be the Rev. David Edenfield. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery. Friends will be received at the Church from 10:15-11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Alzheimer's Association, 399 Market Street, Suite 102, Philadelphia, PA 19106 or the True Friends Animal Welfare Center, 16332 SR 706, Montrose, PA 18801.
