Shane S. Warfel

Shane S. “Shooka” Warfel, age 27, of Royersford, PA died suddenly early Thursday morning, January 22, 2015 from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident in Upper Providence Township. Born in Phoenixville, he was a son of Stephen D. and Wendy J (Hefelfinger) Warfel. Shane was a 2006 graduate of the Spring-Ford High School. He was the quarterback for the high school football team, wrestled and was on the baseball team. He worked at Total Facility in West Chester and the CVS in Royersford. As an adult, he was still very active in sports. He enjoyed playing in several adult leagues in the area. In addition to his parents, Shane is survived by two brothers: Kyle B. Warfel and Joshua D. Warfel, both of Royersford; paternal grandmother: Constance, wife of Frederick Podolock, of Royersford; Maternal Great Grandmother: Ruth Cottrell, of Royersford; aunt: Laurie, wife of Mark Stipa, of Royersford; uncles: Scott, husband of Audrey Warfel, of New Jersey; Randy, husband of Pam Warfel, of Upper Providence. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at the Trinity Lighthouse Church, 66 South Limerick Road, Royersford, PA 19468 on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in the Limerick Garden of Memories, Limerick, PA. Officiating will be the Rev. Ralph W. Owens. Friends will be received from 6-9 PM Tuesday evening or from 9-10:45 Wednesday morning at the Church. Due to the number of people Shane has touched in his life, parking may be limited. KINDLY try to carpool with other friends and family if possible. That would be much appreciated. There will be a scholarship fund set up at Spring-Ford High School in Shane’s memory.
