Charles P. Hafner III, age 39, of Collegeville, PA, passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2020. Born on December 26, 1980 in Phoenixville, PA, he was the son of Bridget A. Niemirovich, wife of the late Richard J. Martinelli Sr. of Collegeville, PA and the late Charles P. Hafner Jr. Chuck was a kind, good-hearted soul with an infectious personality that others could not help but gravitate to. He excelled at all sports he participated in, including soccer, wrestling and football. At just 10 years of age, Chuck kicked a memorable 27-yard field goal during the last game of the season while playing with the Lower Providence Warriors midget football association. He earned his GED and worked throughout his life as a plumber, a trade he learned early in his life by working along with his stepfather, the late Richard J. Martinelli. In his free time, Chuck enjoyed spending time outdoors camping and fishing with friends and family, woodworking, listening to music and teaching himself to play the guitar. In addition to his mother, Chuck is survived by two daughters, Kayla DiGiacomo and Aaliyah Solliday; two brothers, Richard J. Martinelli Jr., companion of Stacy Marcucci of Royersford, PA and Christopher M. Martinelli of Collegeville, PA; two nieces, Angelina and Frankie Martinelli; paternal grandmother, Cynthia M., wife of the late Charles P. Hafner Sr. of Royersford, PA; maternal grandmother, Janice, wife of Jack Hill of Royersford, PA; maternal grandfather, David Niemirovich of Mohnton, PA; four Aunts, Janice L., wife of Christopher Miller of Pottstown, PA, Sheryl A., wife of Thomas Attilio of Schwenksville, PA, Jaclyn A., wife of Joel Tomkinson of Stowe, PA, and the late Carolyn Hafner of Royersford, PA; one Uncle, Kenneth Hafner of Pleasanton, CA; and many cousins. Relatives and close friends are invited to attend his memorial service at the Faith Baptist Church, 1015 Livingston Avenue, Phoenixville, PA on Monday, August 24, 2020 at 11:30 AM. Officiating will be Rev. Jack S. Tomkinson. Friends will be received from 10:00 AM - 11:15 AM at the Church, prior to the service. Masks will be required to enter the church, and social distancing guidelines will be followed. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to Central Behavioral Health, a non-profit community behavioral health center in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania by visiting www.centralbh.org/how-you-can-help.
