Mr. Dennis Childers Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Dennis Childers, 69, of Phoenixville, passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2021. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Douglas and Eleanor (Ezell) Childers. Dennis earned his Bachelor’s Degree from West Chester University. He had a vast knowledge about all types of antiques and went on to become a reputable antiquarian. In his free time Dennis loved to get outdoors and appreciate nature and animals. He also liked eating out at restaurants with friends and family. While Dennis enjoyed fine dining, his favorite thing to order was white pizza from Valley Forge Trattoria, and finishing any meal off with chocolate cake or cheesecake. A sports fan, he made sure to keep up to date with every single sport. Dennis’s meticulously detailed and fantastic storytelling skills will be sorely missed. Above all else, Dennis will be remembered for his immense love for his family. He is survived by his children; Jaime Childers, partner of Michael Lamson, Stephen Childers, and Natalie Lewis, partner of Joseph Lewis. He is also survived by four grandchildren; Jaylynn, Leileah, Simone, and Remi. In addition to his parents Dennis is preceded in death by his wife and soulmate, Kay Oliver, as well as his brother Douglas Childers. A viewing will be held at Campbell Ennis Klotzbach Funeral Home on Saturday, October 30, 2021 from 10am-11am. A funeral service will begin at 11am. A committal service at Limerick Garden of Memories will immediately follow the funeral service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Main Line Animal Rescue in Chester Springs or The Capuchin Franciscans of the Province of St. Mary in Yonkers, NY
