August 31, 1926 - March 21, 2020
Marjorie (Shuler) Montgomery, 93, wife of the late William V. Montgomery, of Elverson, passed away at home on Saturday, March 21, 2020, with her children by her side. Born on August 31, 1926 in Havertown, she was the daughter of the late Jeanette (Baxter) and Paul Shuler. Marjorie had been employed as the Chief Financial Officer for Tursack Printing in Pottstown. An active member of the Christian Women's Club in Chester County, she lovingly served the Lord. She was very missions minded, having supported local and global missions. Marjorie was a woman of service, often making meals for anyone who needed them, hosting, or giving people whatever they needed. Her greatest joy was her family, especially her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and raising them on the family farm in Spring City, known as Hidden Hollow Farm. Marjorie loved family vacations every year to Ocean City, NJ, which was her happy place. Mrs. Montgomery is survived by her children: Paul J., husband of Carolyn (Rasmussen) Montgomery, of Spring City, Padge Montgomery, of Elverson, and Andrea M., wife of Buddy Colmery, of Elverson; seven grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Marjorie was preceded in death by a daughter: Kathleen L. Montgomery. Graveside services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. A Celebration of Life service will be announced at a time when family and friends can gather together at Brick Lane Community Church in Elverson. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Marjorie's name to "Joni and Friends" Eastern PA Office, 340 Highland Drive, Suite 200, Mountville, PA 17554 or to "The Daniel Foundation", 323 Drummers Lane, Phoenixville, PA 19460.
