Mr. Robert Harvey Sypherd

Robert Harvey Sypherd, 71, of Limerick, passed away surrounded by his family on Sunday October 17, 2021 at Reading Hospital. Born in Norristown, he is the son of Mildred (Beatty) Sypherd and the late Harvey Sypherd. He was the husband of Diane (Woodside) Sypherd, with whom he shared 43 years of marriage. Bob was a Methacton Graduate, Class of 1968. Following high school, he honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corp. Bob reached the rank of Corporal and earned a Rifle Marksman Badge, the National Defense Service Medal, and the Vietnam Service Medal. Bob currently worked as a School Bus Driver for Custer’s Garage. In his free time Bob loved to travel, especially to Tennessee to spend time in the Great Smoky Mountains. He always took the time to take each of his grandkids on special trips. Bob loved to go on long drives and was always up for a road trip. In addition to his wife, Diane Sypherd, he is survived by his mother, Mildred Sypherd, his three daughters; Rachael and her husband James Beatty, of Norristown, Stacey and her husband Gary Weaver, of Limerick, and Kelley Sypherd and her fiance Matthew McElvenney, of Landsdale, his grandchildren; Hailey DeHaven, Jessica Beatty, Jimmy Beatty, Hunter McElvenney, and Brooke McElvenney, his siblings Sue Sypherd, Linda and Richard Cassey, Glenn and Diane Sypherd, and several nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held on Thursday, October 21, 2021 from 5:00pm to 6:30pm at Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA 19468. A funeral service will begin at 6:30pm, military honors will immediately follow the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Robert’s name to HonorBound Foundation, a nonprofit advocating for veterans and families whose lives had been affected by Agent Orange, P.O.
