Mr. Sean Denis Casey McShane

Sean Denis Casey McShane, 52, of Phoenixville, passed away at home on Wednesday, January 12, 2022. Born in Pittsburgh, he was the son of Mark and Rosemarie (Fox) McShane. He was the loving husband of Angela (Carlisle) McShane. Sean was an active member of St. Basil the Great Catholic Church, where he volunteered in various ministries. He was the sole proprietor of a small IT consulting business. In his free time, Sean could be found outdoors; he enjoyed mountain biking, road biking, windsurfing, and running. Sean also coached baseball, soccer, basketball, and t-ball for his sons’ teams. He served on the East Pikeland Township Parks and Recreation Board, where he helped develop new trails with his sons and the community for over 10 years. With his family, Sean loved traveling and spending summers in Bethany Beach. He was a great storyteller and loved making people laugh and smile. He will be remembered as a loving husband, caring father, wonderful son, and loyal friend. In addition to his wife and parents, Sean is survived by his sons; Connor McShane and Alex McShane, his siblings; Colleen White McShane, wife of William, Hugh L. McShane, Anne Holly Neely (Mark), Brigid Frye, Margaret Sanabria, wife of Nicolas, Francis L. McShane (Melissa Tozzi), Gilliane L. McShane, wife of Jared Clayton Rogers, Amber Jones, wife of Louis, his in-laws, William and Sally Carlisle, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his brother, James Devin McShane, who passed away in 2014. Friends and relatives are invited to attend the viewing on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 from 10am-11am at St. Basil’s Catholic Church, 2300 Kimberton Rd, Kimberton. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11am. A committal service will immediately follow mass at St. Ann Cemetery.
