Ada Pearl (Ibach) Umstead, age 88, wife of the late Harry W. Umstead, of East Coventry, formerly Royersford, passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2011 in the Manatawny Manor. Born in Royersford, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Katie (Gauger) Ibach.

Mrs. Umstead was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Royersford. She worked as a seamstress at the Valley Forge Flag Co. She was a member of the AARP, and on the Ladies' Auxillary of the Friendship Fire Company in Royersford. She enjoyed watching football and baseball, and was an avid Yankees fan. Most of all, Mrs. Umstead loved to spend time with her family and grandchildren.

Mrs. Umstead is survived by one daughter, Gloria, wife of Thomas Martin of Ohio; one son, Ronald, husband of Julie Anne Umstead, of Pottstown; three grandchildren, Christopher, Weston and Carly; and one great grandson, Nikolas.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Main Street at Sixth Avenue, Royersford on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at 10:00 AM. Officiating will be the Rev. Paul H. Neff. Burial will follow in the Fernwood Cemetery. Friends will be received on Tuesday evening, August 30, 2011 from 7:00-8:30 at the Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, or on Wednesday morning from 9:00-9:45 AM at the church.
