Adelaide Lorraine (Rupp) Devenpeck, age 87, wife of Edgar M. Devenpeck, of Limerick, Pennsylvania, formerly Delmar, New York, passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2022 in her residence. Born on November 11, 1934 in Closter, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Adelaide Mae (Freund) and William Jacob Rupp.

The family relocated to Callicoon Center, NY in 1946. Adelaide graduated from Jeffersonville Central School and attend Delhi State University. After resort work in the Catskills, she married her husband, Edgar, and joined him in Japan, where he was stationed at Atsugi Naval Air Station.

She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary 1040 in Delmar and the First United) Methodist Church of Delmar. After relocating to Pennsylvania in 2018, she attended Cedarville United Methodist Church. Adelaide enjoyed photography, writing, oil painting, travel and most of all, family gatherings.

In addition to her loving husband of 67 years, Adelaide is survived by her children: Daryl D. McLaughlin, wife of Clete McLaughlin, of Spring City, PA, Duane G., husband of Diane Devenpeck, of Bethel, NY and Dorian M. Devenpeck, of Limerick; granddaughters: Danielle, wife of Geoffrey Basore and Amanda, wife of Collin Sewell; and two great-grandsons: Hector Basore and Justin Sewell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother: George William Rupp.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at 1:00 pm at the Cattermole - Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA. Officiating will be the Rev. Sherry Lantz. Friends will be received from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm at the funeral home.

New York services will be held on on Thursday, July 21, 2022, at 1:00 pm at Applebee Funeral Home, 403 Kenwood Ave., Delmar. Friends will be received from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery, Delmar.
