Albert (Dab) Ingram, age 93, of Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, passed away on Friday, May 27, 2022 in Phoenixville Hospital. Born on October 22, 1928 in Devereux, Georgia, he was the son of the late Georgia (Travis) Sales-Bey and Milton Ingram. He moved with his family to Phoenixville, Pennsylvania in 1931 at the age of 3. He attended Phoenixville Area Schools where he excelled in math. In his youth he attended Grimes AME Church in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania.

At the age of 93 his mind was still sharp. He took pride in giving you a history lesson about Phoenixville and various local family's ancestors.

Dab worked in the meat industry from the time he was 16 years old until his retirement in 1989. He was employed at various meat packing companies in Phoenixville, Philadelphia and Chester, Pennsylvania.

Dab was an all-around sports fan; his favorite teams were the Philadelphia Seventy-Sixers, New York Mets, and Philadelphia Iggles (Eagles). Excited to finally see his Iggles win the Superbowl was one of the highlights of his life. He loved going to the racetrack and attending boxing matches.

Dab played on the Packers and Dukes softball teams. He coached in several softball leagues beginning in 1947 and was also an assistant coach of the Harpers and Knob Hill Championship softball teams. In 2019 Dab was a recipient of the Black Light Projects Legacy Award.

Pop, as he was affectionately called by his family, leaves to celebrate his life, son Albert (Butch) Ingram of Spring City, Pennsylvania, daughters Zorita (DeDe) Ingram of Atlanta, Georgia, Latice (Tice) Ingram of Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, Alice Ingram of Royersford, Pennsylvania and Georgie (Jo) (Ingram) Renz of Suwanee, Georgia; seven grandchildren: Ashli, Albert, Tanya, Kristin, Krystal, Jason and Ty; thirteen great-grandchildren: Desiree, Xavier, Dujuan, Eboni, Jaden, Jadin, Will, Jasmine, Ethan, Joell, Sydney, Arianna and Julio; two great-great-grandchildren: Parker and Lylah, a special cousin Clara Bey Thornton, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. His maternal grandmother, Sydney (Roberts) Travis, taught him to always look out for family.

In addition to his parents, Albert was preceded in death by his brother: Harvey Justice, granddaughter: Patrice Ingram, great-granddaughter: Nevaeh Angel Velazquez and former wife Annie L. (Howe-Ingram) Hunter.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at 11AM, at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 610 Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville, Pennsylvania. Officiating will be the Reverend Nathan Coleman. Interment will follow at Morris Cemetery, Phoenixville, Pennsylvania.
