ALBERT R. ZINK, Age 70

Albert R. Zink, beloved husband of Antoinette (Raggazzino) Zink of Phoenixville , PA died on Thursday, February 18, 2010 , in the Phoenixville Hospital .

Born in Pottstown , PA he was a son of the late William N. Zink and Eleanor M. (Shellenberger) Zink Daub. Mr. Zink attended Pottstown High School where he was a member of the Trojan Football Team. He also was a member of the Track & Field team, where he held the record for the longest pole vault for many years. Mr. Zink moved to Phoenixville after getting married. He was a member of the Italian Club, the Polish Club and Friendship Fire Co. He was an Avid hunter and enjoyed spending time in the mountains. He loved fishing and won several awards. Albert was a Charter member of the Willie Nelson Fan Club. His greatest love was spending time with his loving wife, children, and grandchildren especially at family picnics and celebrating the holidays.

Mr. Zink had worked for A.P. DeSanno Co. and then worked for the Phila. Suburban Water Co. retiring after 30 years of service.

Surviving in addition to his loving wife Antoinette, are three daughters, Beverly Zink, Cindy wife of David Gnias, and Lisa Zink, of Phoenixville. A son Brian husband of Karen Zink of Phoenixville. Two sisters, June Smale and Kathy Pulp of Pottstown . A brother William R. Zink of Texas . 5 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews and his beloved dog Princess Candy. He was preceded in death by his son Richard Zink in 2006

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at the St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, St. Mary's and Dayton Streets, Phoenixville on Wednesday morning, February 24, 2010 at 10:30 A.M. The Rev. Gary J. Kramer will officiate. Burial will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery . Friends may call from 6:30-8:30 P.M. on Tuesday evening and from 9:00-10:00 A.M. on Wednesday morning at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home Inc. , Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville, PA. .In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in his name to the St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church 212 Dayton Street, Phoenixville, PA 19460.
