Rev. Alexander Ortiz, 38, husband of Kimberly R. (Onifer) Ortiz, of Royersford, PA, formerly Jackson, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2009, in the Phoenixville Hospital. Born in Palisades Park, NJ, he was the son of Charles and Angela (Santiago) Ortiz, of Weehawken, NJ.

Rev. Ortiz was a 1989 graduate of Weehawken High School, and a 2005 graduate of the Valley Forge Christian College, Phoenixville, PA, where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Pastoral Ministry. He was part of the Pastoral team at the Spring Valley Community Church. He was a member of the Phi Sigma Kappa Fraternity of Fairleigh Dickinson University Madison Campus and was an avid New York Mets and Giants fan.

In addition to his loving wife and parents, Rev. Ortiz is survived by his daughter, Taylor Ortiz, at home, and his sister, Charlene Finn, of Oxford, NJ.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at the Grace Assembly of God, Bridge Street and Rt. 23, Spring City, PA, on Saturday, August 1, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. Officiating will be Dr. Daniel McNaughton and Pastor Timm Zeigler. Friends will be received from 7:00-8:30 p.m. Friday evening and from 9:00-11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Church.
