Alice L. Snyder, age 78, of Phoenixville, PA died early Tuesday morning, November 24, 2009 in the Phoenixville Hospital, Phoenixville, PA. Born in Skippack, PA, she was a daughter of the late Clay E., and Mary E. (Wanamaker) Snyder. Ms. Snyder was a 1949 graduate of the Tredyffrin / Easttown High School. Upon graduation, Alice continued advanced courses in computers while holding positions at the Freedom Foundation, Valley Forge then Phoenix Iron and Steel. Ms. Snyder spent 30 years employed as a systems administrator and senior administrative specialist with the military in Seoul, Korea.
Ms. Snyder is survived by; One Brother; Charles W., husband of Virginia L. (Fish) Snyder, of Ridgefield, CT, One Niece; Laurel Dotterweich, of CA, Two Nephews; Kurt Snyder of CT, Brett Snyder, of CA, and several great nieces and nephews.
Ms. Snyder was an active member for several years with the American Youth Hostel Organization in Philadelphia. Ms. Snyder was a member of the Women's Club of Phoenixville, Garden Club, Music Club, and Literature Club. She was a life member of the Royal Asiatic Society in Seoul, Korea and the Holly Society. She was also a life member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees and a member of the AARP.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete. The memorial service will be held at a later date in the Charlestown United Methodist Church, 650 Church Road, Malvern, PA. Burial will be held privately in the Limerick Garden of Memories, Limerick, PA. Arrangements are being handled by the Campbell - Ennis - Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville, PA.
