Alma passed away in her home in the early morning hours of 7 February 2015 at the age of 61 after a tremendous 6-year battle with lung cancer. She resided in Pottstown, Pennsylvania with her husband, J.R. McGee.

Alma was born on 16 November 1953, in Silver City, New Mexico. She is preceded in death by her parents Albert H. Vigil and Mary Monje Vigil. She is survived by her husband, J.R. McGee whom she married on 20 March 1989, two brothers, David J. Vigil (deceased), Richard D. Vigil, and sister, Isabell Cooper. She leaves behind two children, Justin M. Watts and Victoria A. (Watts) Parson, and three grandchildren, Chandler J. Watts, 23; Hayden J. Watts, 7; and Kirah J. Watts, 6.

Alma was first of all a Born-Again Christian, my best friend, a Proverbs 31 wife, mom, gramma, and a true servant to others!

During her professional career she was the Executive Administrator to the Commanding General, USAFE for POLYGON, (TOP GUN in Europe), and held Executive Management positions with Metropolitan Insurance and Standard Insurance. While living in Alaska, Alma received her Certified CISR designation, and was an Insurance Agent to Native Americans and some of the most “colorful” people in America’s greatest frontier! She was a Founding Partner and Chief Operating Officer for the X-Stream Leadership Group.

She was renowned for her integrity, her work ethic, her attention to detail, and her ability to do the impossible to satisfy her customers and her loved ones! During her life, she and J.R. lived in 14 states and 4 countries, and traveled the world for business and pleasure. She loved to sew, and embroidery was her passion. She played piano at several churches in different locations around the world and her greatest love was her Lord Jesus Christ!

She was a member of Valley Forge Baptist Temple and was a staunch Conservative who took enormous pride in her country. She was a patriot in every sense of the word.
Visitation Services will be held at Valley Forge Baptist Temple on Thursday, 12 February 2015, from 7 to 9 PM, and on Friday, 13 February 2015, from 9 to 10:45 AM.
Her funeral will begin at 11 AM followed by a Graveside Service and Flag Ceremony at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Parker Ford, Chester County, Pa.

In Lieu of Flowers, it was Alma’s desire to purchase patient equipment for Pottstown Memorial Regional Cancer Center. To accommodate her wishes, an account has been established with the Santander Bank of Pottstown, 1565 East High Street, Pottstown, PA 19464. The Account Number is 3574027524.

Donations are being accepted and checks can be made payable to James R. McGee in Honor of the Alma McGee Cancer Fund. 100% of all donations will be used to purchase a blanket warmer and other patient comfort equipment. Electronic transfer also accepted.
