Alphonse Dervinis, 87 of Wayne, PA died December 28. He was the loving husband for 57 years to the late Marion Stocker. Born in Hanover Township, PA, he was the son of the late August and Mary Dervinis. Al was a graduate of Plymouth High and Bucknell University in 1947. He worked in pharmaceutical research at Wyeth (Philadelphia and Radnor, PA) for 39 years, publishing a number of papers. Al enjoyed spending time with the family, reading, world news, and taking care of the house. Survived by son Eric Dervinis of Wayne, PA, daughter Elise Dervinis and son-in-law Scott Murphy; grandson Gregory Murphy Dervinis of Chester Springs, PA, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Aldona Szewczyk. Friends and relatives are invited to visitation Friday January 4 at 10 AM, followed by services at 11 AM at the Trinity Reformed United Church of Christ, 532 East Main St Collegeville, PA 19426. Funeral director is Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach. In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial contribution to the Salvation Army.
