Alverda L. Hunsberger, age 84, wife of the late Ray S. Hunsberger, of Phoenixville, PA, passed away at home on Christmas night surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 22, 1935 in Franconia, PA, she was a daughter of the late Elmer and Alverda (Hunsberger) Landis.

Mrs. Hunsberger was a member of Vincent Mennonite Church, Spring City. She retired from the Spring City Post Office as a rural letter carrier. Mrs. Hunsberger loved to travel, especially when she and her husband Ray would hop in the car and take a road trip. She enjoyed reading, shopping, taking in the seasonal flowers, and bird watching. She cherished the time spent with her family.

Mrs. Hunsberger is survived by four children, Cynthia F., wife of Drake Bearden of Royersford, PA, Lisa R., wife of Mark Spilman of Collegeville, PA, Judy L., wife of Clifton Seewagen of Hamburg, PA, and William R., husband of April Hunsberger of Gilbertsville, PA; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral ceremony at the Vincent Mennonite Church, 39 Seven Stars Road, Spring City, PA on Thursday, January 2, 2020 at 11:30 am. Officiating will be Pastor David S. Mansfield. Burial will be held in the Vincent Mennonite Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Vincent Mennonite Church Cemetery Fund at the address above.
