Obituary

Amy G. Parson-Moore, 91, wife of Joseph M. Moore, of East Coventry, passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 in Pottstown Hospital - Tower Health. She was taken home to be with her Lord and Savior, surrounded by her loving family. Born on February 11, 1927 in Kenilworth, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Mary Geiger.

A graduate of North Coventry High School, Amy had been employed as a clerk in local banks and for the Owen J. Roberts School District. She had been a member of Parkerford Baptist Church for over 50 years, where she had served for decades as President of the Women's Rainbow Circle, a Deaconess, and a Sunday School teacher. She and Joe traveled extensively throughout the United States and Canada. She loved her home, her cats and dogs, and time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her children: N. Lance, husband of Joyce Parson, of Pottstown, Robin L., wife of Robert Schlichter, of Pottstown, and Ty L., husband of Loretta Parson, of Elverson and; step-children: Ronald, husband of Barbara Moore, of Parker Ford, Richard, husband of Susan Moore, of Ventura, CA, Robert, husband of Pavlina Moore, of St. John, FL, Cheryl, wife of Wayne Yeager of Honesdale, and Cynthia Baker, of Charlestown; sixteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and her sister: Arline Peck, of Parker Ford. She was preceded in death by her first husband: William C. Parson, in 1983.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at Parkerford Baptist Church, 92 Baptist Church Road, Spring City, on Monday, January 28, 2019 at 11:00 am. Officiating will be Rev. Robert E. Davalt, II and Rev. Robert S. Coats. Interment will follow in the Parkerford Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends will be received from 9:30 am - 11:00 am Monday at the Church. Memorial contributions may be made in Amy's name to the Parkerford Baptist Church Memorial Fund, 92 Baptist Church Road, Spring City, PA 19475.
