Anthony V. Palopoli, age 93, husband of the late Agnes E. (O'Connor) Palopoli, formerly of Phoenixville passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2016, in Chestnut Knoll, Boyertown. Born on December 17, 1922 in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Stefano and Maria (Carnevali) Palopoli.
Anthony was a graduate of Lower Moreland High School. He served in the United States Army Air Corps. during World War II, enlisting on March 16, 1943 and having been honorably discharged on December 17, 1945. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.
Anthony had been employed at the former Tauder Ford in Phoenixville for 25 years until his retirement as Parts Manager. After his retirement, Anthony and Agnes went to work for his son's auto parts store, Steve's Autoparts in Pottstown, where Agnes helped with bookkeeping and Anthony delivered parts. He also enjoyed repairing antique clocks.
Mr. Palopoli is survived by two sons: Stephen Palopoli, of Pottstown and Anthony N., husband of Michelle Palopoli, of Lebanon; five grandchildren: Jason, Daniel, Audra, Stephanie and Stephen; ten great grandchildren; and brother: James Palopoli, of Levittown. He was preceded in death by his sisters: Victoria Palopoli, Theresa Palopoli, Nicolina McGettigan and Madeline Bryner.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral mass at St. Ann's Chapel, 604 South Main Street, Phoenixville, on Thursday, August, 11, 2016, at 10:30 am. Officiating will be the Rev. Joseph A. Heim. Interment will follow in the Limerick Garden of Memories. Friends will be received from 9:30 am - 10:15 am. Memorial contributions may be made in Anthony's name to St. Ann R.C.
