Anthony J. "Reds" Petaccio Sr., age 88, loving husband of Frances B. (Indelicato) Petaccio of Gilbertsville, PA, passed away on Friday, October 20, 2023 in the Pottstown Hospital. Born on September 2, 1935 in Norristown, PA, he was the son of the late Armond and Helen (Kusack) Petaccio.

Reds was a 1953 graduate of Norristown High School. He honorably served in the United States Army. He retired as the longest tenured employee after 54 years of employment as a printer and composer for the Times Herald newspaper in Norristown. Mr. Petaccio was a faithful member of St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish in Schwenksville. He was an avid golfer with family and friends, and enjoyed woodworking, having made gorgeous furniture throughout the years. He took great pride in maintaing his home and his yard. His family was the most important thing to him, and he cherished the time spent with them and mentoring his grandchildren through life.

In addition to his wife of 66 years, Mr. Petaccio is survived by four children, Sharon Douglas (Dale), Kimberly Petaccio (Lisa), Sandra DelGrippo (Leonard), and Anthony Petaccio Jr.; seven grandchildren, Jessica (Ed), Kellee (Joe), Grayson, Allison (Kyle), Lenny (Lauren), Nicolette, and Angelo; and seven great-grandchildren, Ashton, Parker, Alyssa, Cienna, Emelia, Mason, and Lenny.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at the Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at 11:00 AM. Officiating will be Rev. Jeffrey M. Rott. Burial will follow in the Limerick Garden of Memories, Limerick, PA. Friends will be received from 9:30 AM-11:00 AM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital by visiting stjude.org/donate.
