Arthur L. Russell, age 73, husband of Elizabeth E. (Kennedy) Russell, of Royersford, PA, passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at home. Born on December 9, 1942 in Binghamton, NY, he was a son of the late Earl and Helen (Moore) Russell.

Mr. Russell was a graduate of Bainbridge High School, and served in the United States Army. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Royersford, and a member of the Phoenixville Knights of Columbus Council 1374. He was the President of the Volunteer Chapter at the Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge, and served as a scout leader for a number of years.

In addition to his wife, with whom he recently shared 50 years of marriage, Mr. Russell is survived by three children, Paul A., husband of Brandi Russell of Royersford, PA, Amy M., wife of Vincenzo Braccia of Horsham, PA, and Jonathan E. Russell of Arizona; four sisters, Shirley Fletcher, Carol Smith, Katherine van Gorder, and Ruth Wilson; six granddaughters, two grandsons, and two step-granddaughters; and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Russell was preceded in death by two siblings, Phil Russell and Beverly Williams.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral mass at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Walnut Street at Lewis Road, Royersford, PA 19468 on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at 10:30 AM . Officiating will be Rev. Peter J. DiMaria. Burial will be held in the Fernwood Cemetery, Royersford. Friends will be received on Friday, July1, 2016 from 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM at the Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA or at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM.
