Obituary

Augustine "Rusty " Natale , 88 ,beloved husband of Kathleen Paul Natale, dies April 28,2012 at Seasons Hospice and Palliative care at Phoenixville Hospital. Rusty was born on March 5, 1924 in Phoenixville, PA. He was the son of the late Domenico and Jennie Fusco Natale. He was pre-deceased by two brothers, Andrew and Joseph Natale, and one sister Rose Natale Borzumanti.

He is survived by his wife , Kathleen, his son Ronald and companion Kim Christy, his daughter Denise and her husband Stephen Wiand. He has three granddaughters: Kristina Wiand, Amber Natale Mauro and Nicole Natale Kimes; three great-grandchildren: Gianna and Daniella Mauro and Rachel Kimes. He is also survived by one brother, Domenic Natale, and wife Phyllis; two sisters: Frances Natale Ott and husband Richard and Pauline Natale Schier and husband Donald. He also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Rusty was proud of his Italian heritage and especially proud of his military service in the US Navy. Rusty served in the Pacific theater during World War 2 and later reactivated for the Korean War. Rusty worked at Mrs. Smith's Pie Company in Pottstown for 25 years. He served as the refrigeration services engineer manager during that time. After retiring, he was a school bus driver for Wolfington Bus company. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed sharing the bounty of the garden with others. Rusty and Kathleen enjoyed traveling with a close knit group of friends. This group known as Pop's crop, traveled with their recreational vehicles visiting sites on the Eastern seaboard.

In later years, he enjoyed traveling to different areas of New England , most notable Maine, with his daughter Denise and her husband Stephen. He often told them "I'm ready" and enjoyed the trip planning as much as the travel. Rusty cherished both his family and friends always willing to lend a hand and offer a seat at the table.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at the Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA from 7 PM to 8:30 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held on May 4, 2012 at Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 3640 Schuylkill Rd., Route 724, Spring City, PA at 11:00 AM. A viewing will be held at the church prior to the service from 9:45 to 10:45 PM. Burial will follow at the Limerick Garden of Memories Mausoleum, in Limerick, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations should be sent to the Chester County SPCA, 1212 Phoenixville Pike West Chester, PA 19380 (www.ccspca.org) or to St. Joseph's Church at the above address.
