Balasubramanya Ramnath is survived by his wife of 52 years, Karen, his children, Krishna, Vijay and Maya, grandchildren Kayla, Aurora May, Leilani, Kishan (Dave), and Mellissa along with countless family members across the US and India, "Ram, as he was known, came to the US from India as a graduate assistant, receiving his Masters Degree from StonybrookUniversity. He worked at Merrill Lynch, as a systems analyst for CBS News Election Unit where he was responsible for writing the software that fueled the distinguished CBS News/NY Times poll, and later as an independent consultant; but his biggest pride was in his family. He brought his love of cricket to Pennsylvania, where he moved with Karen in 2010, which translated to a sports following appropriate to Philadelphia. Beloved by all who knew him, Ram was the best balance of a hardworking, organized, goofy, generous family man. He will be sorely missed.
