Barbara-Anne Mary Elmore, of Macungie, passed away suddenly at her home at age 62. She was born in Fort Knox, KY a daughter of the late Walter and Anna Dilks.
Her interests included bird-watching, star-gazing, photography and pets.

She had a love of our environment, which led to membership in the Environmental Defense Fund, National Parks Conservation Assoc., National Wildlife Federation, Ducks Unlimited and P.E.T.A.

She is survived by: a daughter Shea Elmore of California; a son Kelley S. Elmore, of Oley; two sisters: Mary Lou Alarcon of Spring, TX and Patty Jo Thompson of El Paso, TX; two brothers: Harry Dilks of El Paso, TX and Sonny Dilks of Chapparel, TX; nine grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at St. Joseph (Hill) Lutheran Church, 244 Koch Rd., Boyertown, PA on Saturday, October 10, 2009 at 10 AM. Officiating will be Rev. Jeffrey W. Odgren.
