Obituary

Barbara S. (Weber) Pierson, 83, wife of Ellery M. Pierson, Ph.D., of Audubon, passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 in Einstein Medical Center Montgomery. Born on July 11, 1934 in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Edna L. (MacKannan) and Harold E. Weber, Sr.

Mrs. Pierson received her B.S. in education from Montclair State Teachers College and taught math at John F. Kennedy High School in Willingboro, NJ. After moving to Pennsylvania, she was a substitute teacher for several local school districts.

She loved to play pinochle and poker, and even taught all of her grandchildren how to play poker. Barbara loved time spent at the beach and sailing, camping and traveling around the country. She especially enjoyed an evening glass of wine and ice cream.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Pierson is survived by her daughters: Suzanne C. Moser, of Phoenixville and Audrey E. Pierson, wife of Brian Brown, of Mont Clare; grandchildren: Megan Bradfield, Cameron, husband of Jessie Brigham, Brian Brown, Kelly, wife of Ryan Ortlip, Marissa, wife of Matthew Blair and David, husband of Sara Mickelberg; and great-grandchildren: Chase, Cody, Dominic, Rayven, Donovan, Claire, Josephine, Charlotte, plus two TBD....

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial service in the Fellowship Hall (Multi-Purpose Room) of Green Tree Church of the Brethren, 1087 Egypt Road, Oaks, on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 1:00 pm.
