Barbara J. (Shaw) Ross, age 74, wife of John A. Ross, Jr., of Phoenixville, passed away on Friday, April 8, 2022 in Phoenixville Hospital. Born on December 31, 1947 in Elizabeth, New Jersey, she was a daughter of the late Lillian (Peek) and Robert Shaw.

Barbara had an immense love for education and children. She had such a great joy for being around children that she had been employed in education for 30 years, which had most recently been with the Gingerbread House at the Civic Center in Phoenixville.

Barbara enjoyed beautiful flowers and gardening, vacationing with family and trips to the beach.

Most importantly, she was a loving wife and strongly devoted to her granddaughters and daughters. She was family oriented and her family was her life. Barbara enjoyed watching her granddaughters play sports and her favorite birthday present was to babysit the girls on New Year's Eve.

In addition to her loving husband, Mrs. Ross is survived by her daughters: Jennifer, wife of Sean Gariti, of Pottstown and Carrie Ross of Phoenixville; granddaughters: Lilly and Lainey Gariti; and siblings: Robert Shaw, Jr., of Honey Brook and Jackie Porta, of Elverson.
