Frank Michener Jr., age 89, husband of the late Dorothy A. (Fluharty) Michener, of Oaks, Pennsylvania, passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2023 in his residence. Born on May 25, 1933 in Oaks, he was a son of the late Frances (Price) and Benjamin F. Michener Sr.

A 1951 graduate of Phoenixville High School, Frank served honorably in the 6th Armored Division in the US Army, stationed in Germany, during the Korean War. He received his Bachelor's degree in Engineering from Temple University. Frank had been employed as a mechanical designer for Sperry Univac, which later became Unisys, just before his retirement.

Frank was a lifelong member and servant of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, where he dedicated a lot of his time, helped with the cemetery in his youth and helped Rev. Harry with the foster children. He was also a lifetime member of Oaks Fire Company.

Frank was dedicated to working in his community and country. He always gave of himself and never asked for anything in return. He touched the lives of anyone he came in contact with, and people would always take away something positive from him, even if it was the first time meeting him.

He enjoyed playing golf and bowling in a league in Blue Bell. Frank was a true Four For Four when it came to Philadelphia sports, as he was an avid fan of the Phillies, Flyers, Eagles and Sixers. A great father, he always made sure he had the boys out doing something, helped volunteer with the Boy Scouts and made sure they had great vacations to places like Avalon, Vermont and the Poconos. He also enjoyed taking his wife out to Potato City.

Frank is survived by his sons: John, husband of Karen Michener and Robert T., husband of Cheri Michener; granddaughter: Danielle A. Michener; nieces: Patty Lacaba and Kathy Dankowski; and nephew: Jim Michener. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brother: Robert P. Michener.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at 11:00 am at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 126 Black Rock Road, Oaks, PA 19456. Officiating will be the Reverend Samuel Kirabi Ndungu. Interment will follow in the Church cemetery. Friends will be received from 9:45 am - 10:45 am at the Church.
