Bernadette M. Potchen (nee Fisher), age 74, wife of Richard R. Potchen of Royersford, PA, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2022 in Paoli Hospital. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Bernard M. and Ruth M. (Hess) Fisher.

Mrs. Potchen attended John W. Hallahan Catholic Girls' High School in Philadelphia. An accomplished pianist, Bernadette took great pleasure in playing both professionally and personally. She also enjoyed playing the flute and drums. Over the course of her lifetime, Bernadette provided volunteer services as an organist at Visitation BVM School and Little Flower Catholic School for Girls. She was a devoted wife and a dedicated mother who strived to provide the best life for her daughters and family. She took great pride in the success her daughters found throughout life. She cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren instilling a love of music and learning.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Potchen is survived by three daughters, Donna M. (Paul) Briddock of Millsboro, DE, Lisa R. Scull of Royersford, PA, and Jennifer D. Potchen, (John Taylor); thirteen grandchildren, Gerald (Austin), Christin (Shaun), Heather (Jason), Marybeth, Samantha (Jared), Jason, Danielle (Ashley), Shána, Rebecca (Salvatore), Joseph, John, Kaela and Katherine; seven great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Ryker, Savannah, Cecilia, Lyla, EllaRose, and Nora. She was preceded in death by her daughter Sally Ann Potchen, formally known as Sr. Anne-Marguerite, VHM, of the Visitation Monastery, Tyringham, MA.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral mass in the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Lewis Road at Walnut Street, Royersford, PA on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at 11:00 AM. There will be no visitation in Church. Burial will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Visitation Monastery, 14 Beach Road, Tyringham, MA 01264.
