Bernie J. Lawless, 76, formerly of Bridgeport , died on Thursday evening at Parkhouse Providence Pointe after a? lengthy illness.? He was the husband of Connie M. (English) Lawless.
Born in Bridgeport , he was a son of the late John J. and Mary (McGee) Lawless.? He attended Bridgeport High School and served in the Army during the Korean War.???
Bernie was employed for many years at American Food Services.
He was a member of St. Augustine R.C. Church .? He was also?a?member of?Neff Mills Hunt Club.??Bernie was an?avid hunter and fisherman.?
In addition to his wife of 56 years, he is survived by three daughters: Michele ?Jablonski and husband? Rich, of East Norriton, Connie Haas and husband Bob, of Wyncote and Sherri ?Morrett and husband Matt, of Royersford; three sons: Boe and wife Sis,? Bill and wife Sharon and Jack and companion Earl, all of Bridgeport; sisters: Ellen Pretzello and husband Joe, of Georgia, Joan McKernan wife of the late Fran, of King of Prussia, a sister-in-law, Liz Lawless, of Stafford, twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.? He was also preceded in death by sisters: Betty Simmons, Cece Keil and Reann Whitemore and brother, Jim Lawless.
His Funeral Mass will be held on Monday at 10:30 AM ? at ? St. Augustine R.C. Church , 464 Ford St. Bridgeport , PA 19405 .? Interment will be private.? Receiving time at the church on Monday is from 9:30 to 10:30 AM .
