Beth Ann Smith, age 57, wife of Thomas F. Smith, of Royersford, PA, passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2017 in Pottstown Memorial Medical Center, Pottstown, PA. Born on March 19, 1960 in Phoenixville, PA, she was a daughter of the late Quinton and Betty (Longo) Olley. Mrs. Smith was a 1978 graduate of Spring-Ford High School. She formerly worked at Holcombe photography in Limerick, PA and, more recently, as Office Manager for the family business, Bercek and Smith Engineering, Royersford, PA. Beth was also active in various community service events, including working as Majority Inspector of Elections at Brooke Elementary for 25 years, organization of Royersford Community Day, and shopping with her best friend, Peggi Platco for the Rotary Club's Adopt-A-Family charity for 10 years. In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling to Mexico, trips to Shady Maple, hosting several Rotary Exchange Students, rooting for the Philadelphia Eagles and the Penn State Nittany Lions, and laughing with friends and family. Beth's true passion in life was to help others.
In addition to her husband of 28 years, Mrs. Smith is survived by two sons, Eric Jordan White and his two sons Taylan and Everett, of Middleburg, FL, Ryan Matthew White, of Fredericton, Canada, daughter, Caitlin Elizabeth Smith, fiancée of Colin Carey, of Poway, CA, brothers, Barry, husband of Joyce Olley of Elizabethtown, PA, and Robert Olley, two sisters, Jane, wife of Warren Smith of Saint Petersburg, FL, and Betsy Buckwalter of New Tazewell, TN, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service at Cattermole - Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at 10:30 am. Officiating will be Rev. James R. Roth. The burial ceremony will be private. Friends will be received from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Wednesday or from 9:00 am - 10:15 am Thursday morning at the funeral home.
