Betty Jane (Egolf) Wade, age 97, wife of the late Warren Henry "Bud" Wade, of South Coventry, passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2024 in the Pottstown Hospital. Born on September 30, 1926, in Pottstown, she was a daughter of the late Margaret (Custer) Straub and Gordon Tyler Egolf.

Betty Jane was a longtime member of Grace Lutheran Church in Royersford. She had been a member of an antiques club, a book club, and a dance group called The Twinkle Toes. Along with her husband, she used to enjoy attending evenings at Sunnybrook Ballroom for big band dances.

Mrs. Wade is survived by her son: Barry Lee (Sue) Wade; grandchildren: Tracy (Mendel) Sky, Neil (Elsa) Wade, and Jordan Wade; great-grandchildren: Makena Sky and Gracelynn Wade; sister: Peggy Kraynak; and several beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by siblings: Annamae Kraft, Janet Yostin, and Joseph Straub.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Monday, March 18, 2024, at 11:00 am at the Cattermole - Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford. Officiating will be Gregg Vermeesch. Interment will follow in the St. Peter United Church of Christ Cemetery, Knauertown. Friends will be received from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at the funeral home.
