Blanche P. (Wall) Swearer Hallman, formerly of East Pikeland , passed away on Monday evening at Peter Becker Community, Harleysville , PA at age 94. She was the wife of the late W. Horace Swearer and George J. Hallman Jr., also a resident of Peter Becker Community.

She was a lifelong resident of the Phoenixville area and graduate of Phoenixville High School . Her employment included Phoenixville Public Library, Yarnall's Bakery and Croft Stationery Inc.

Blanche had been an active member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church , where she taught Sunday School, played piano and sang in the choir. She was also a member of the Luther League and was a former executive secretary. In addition she belonged to the Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by nieces and a nephew. She was also preceded in death by a sister Lillian Petro.

Her Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 30, 2009 at 11:00 AM at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church , 355 St. John's Circle , Phoenixville , PA 19460 . Officiating will be Rev. Dr. Cynthia L. Krommes. Calling time is from 10-11 AM at the church's Fireside Room. Interment will be in Morris Cemetery .
