Bonnie Lynne McGee, age 72, wife of J.R. McGee, of Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2022 in the Fox Chase Cancer Center. Born on September 3, 1949 in Pottstown, she was the daughter of the late Sallie (Hall) Mitchell and Anthony Sledgen.

Bonnie graduated from Pottstown High School and later received an Associate's degree in dental hygiene from the University of Pennsylvania. She went on to pursue a career as a dental hygienist. Bonnie was an active member at High Point Baptist Chapel for many years and more recently at Valley Forge Baptist. She exemplified a Proverbs Chapter 31 wife. Bonnie enjoyed Phillies baseball, and she was a passionate Eagles football fan. She enjoyed all sports involving her children and grandchildren. She loved spending time with friends, sitting around a campfire, watching the waves at the beach, and traveling to see family. Bonnie especially treasured time spent with her grandchildren.

In addition to her loving husband, Bonnie is survived by her children: Michael, husband of Tricia Hutt, of Northfield, MA, Karen, wife of Mike Carlson, of East Peoria, IL, David, husband of Wendy Hutt, of Lewes, DE, Amy, wife of Michael Lee, of Thornton, CO and Stephen, husband of Brittany Hutt, of Pottstown, PA; and brother: Hank Sledgen, of Fort Mill, SC; and 14 grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband: Clinton "Skeet" Hutt and second husband: Ken Harris and her sister: Michele Millard.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at 10:30 am, at Mountain View Chapel, 68 Old Douglass Drive, Douglassville. Officiating will be the Rev. Scott E. Wendal. Interment will follow in the Highland Memorial Park, Pottstown. Friends will be received from 9:00 am - 10:15 am at the Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be placed in Bonnie's name to Fox Chase Cancer Center for gastrointestinal cancer research.
