Bonnie L. (Barnhart) Riggs, age 75, wife of Charles R. Riggs, of Pottstown, Pennsylvania, passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2023 surrounded by her loving family, in the Pottstown Hospital. Born on March 22, 1948 in Potsdam, New York, she was the daughter of the late Cathern L. (Sharpsteen) Kramer and Gerald T. Barnhart.

Bonnie had been employed in banking from the time she was 20 years old, for around 35 years until her retirement. She enjoyed traveling with Charlie since their marriage in 1973 and vacationing with her family, especially their many trips to Disney, a place she loved so very much.

A caregiver for her mother, grandmother and husband, Bonnie put her family first. She enjoyed cooking family meals and spending time with her in-laws. From Spring to Fall Bonnie could be found spending her time out in the gardens at home landscaping and gardening or relaxing in the pool.

In addition to her husband, Bonnie is survived by her children: John (Megan) Riggs, Stefanie (James) Muller and Sarah (Brian) Weil; grandchildren: James (JT), Shane and Brooke. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother: Gerald Thomas Barnhart, Jr.; and stepfather: John Kramer.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral mass on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at 11:00 am, at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Beech and Hanover Streets, Pottstown. Officiating will be the Rev. Joseph L. Maloney. Friends will be received from 10:00 - 10:45 AM at the Church.
