Bonnie A. Robinson, age 78, of Mont Clare, PA, passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2023 in the Sanatoga Court. Born on December 6, 1945 in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late A. Dahle and Mary (Rainier) Amendt.
Bonnie attended and was a graduate of Eastern High School, an all-girls school in Baltimore, MD. She went on to Wesley Junior College in Dover, DE, and she received her bachelor's degree in teaching from Eastern Baptist College in St. David's, PA.
Bonnie began her career as a teacher at the Delhaas High School in Bristol. She then spent time in the insurance industry and then in distribution and customer service for the New York Times. Her career at Vanguard, from which she would retire after more than 30 years, started as an unlicensed representative in the investor information department. After successfully passing her Series 6, Health and Life Insurance exams for multiple states, she became a licensed annuity representative.
Bonnie was a faithful Catholic. She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Phoenixville, where she served as an usher and enjoyed taking those unable to drive to church services. She took great pride in raising her son, attending the events and sporting games of her grandchildren, and always being there for her family. For several years, she often traveled to Maryland to assist in the care of her Aunt. She was an avid Phillies and Eagles fan, and she loved watching Hallmark movies.
More recently, while in Sanatoga Court, Bonnie enjoyed completing large-print word searches, attending monthly family bingo with her son, and weekly bingo with other residents.
Bonnie is survived by one son, Ian Stewart, companion of Thelma Garry; three grandsons, Christian Hernandez, Justin Cavanaugh Stewart, and Alixander Jamison Stewart; one brother, Dahle, husband of Kris Amendt; and two nephews, Matt and Mark Amendt.
