Obituary

Bruce R. Cushing, 47, of Oaks, passed away on Saturday morning at his home. He was the devoted husband of Margot A (Fenyus) Cushing.

Born in Bryn Mawr, he was a son of the late William and Jane (Morrissey) Cushing. He was a graduate of Phoenixville High School and Temple University. Bruce was employed for many years as a geologist at URS Corporation. He was a member of the Geologist Society of America and American Institute of Professional Geologists.

He was an active member of Valley Forge Baptist Temple serving in the parking lot and as a guardian angel. He was actively involved in the Spring-Ford High School Marching Band as a Pit Pop and managing the concession stands.

In addition to his wife of 21 years, he is survived by his children: Marissa A. and Joshua R. Cushing, both at home; sister: Joan Hahn and husband, William, of Evergreen, CO; brothers: Joseph Cushing and wife Patti, of Phoenixville and William Cushing IV of Exeter.

His funeral service will be held on January 14, Wednesday at 11 AM at Valley Forge Baptist Temple, 616 S. Trappe Rd. (Rt. 113), Collegeville, PA 19426. Visitation will be from 9-11 AM at the church. Burial will follow in Limerick Garden of Memories. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Cushing Kids College Fund or the Benevolent Fund for Needy Families in care of Valley Forge Baptist Temple.
