Carl L. Talley Sr., 82, formerly of Oaks and Limerick, passed away on Friday, April 29, 2016 at Keystone Villa Memory Unit, Douglassville, PA. He was the widower of the late Dolores C. (Whitney) Talley, who died February 2015.
Born on March 15, 1934 in Woodsdale, NC, he was a son of the late Royal B. and Odel (Stewart) Talley. Mr. Talley worked for thirty-fours at Norris Iron in Bridgeport. He also drove school bus for ten year for Upper Merion School District and then worked for ten years at Genuardi's Supermarkets before retiring. He loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren. He was also an avid bowler.
He is survived by his children: Carl L. Jr. and wife Kimberly A., of Royersford; Michelle L. Petrecz and husband Christopher, of Pottstown; brothers: Luther and wife Nettie, of Roxborough, VA and Daniel Talley, of Rock Mount, NC; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by brothers: James, Oliver and Edgar.
Services will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 10:30 am at Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville, PA. Officiating will be his nephew, Rev. Norman Talley. Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 am. Burial will be in Fernwood Cemetery.
