Carl E. Rich, Sr., age 75, husband of Julia Marie (Faust) Rich, of Royersford, PA, died Friday evening, March 19, 2010 in the Phoenixville Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Charles E. and Rose (Morris) Rich. He was a graduate of the Norristown High School. A veteran, Mr. Rich served in the U.S. Army Reserves. He worked for over 40 years for the Philadelphia Electric Company and retired in 1990 as a Line Foreman at the Berwyn Station. Mr. Rich then began working for Custer's Busing Company as a driver for the Spring-Ford area School District. He worked for Custers from 1990 ?" 2007.

In addition to his wife of 25 years, Mr. Rich is survived by one daughter; Michele, wife of Kevin Kuhn, of New York, one son; Carl E. Rich, Jr, husband of Lisa (Mastrangelo) Rich, of Collegeville, PA, two step-daughters; Gwendolyn, wife of Andrew Matejik, of Northampton, Christina, wife of Tony Amaya, of Hatfield, one step-son; Bryan, husband of Deborah (Goldberg) Slotterbach, of Quakertown, PA, one sister; Eleanor, wife of the late Robert Marshall, of Norristown, and thirteen grandchildren.

Funeral services and burial will be held privately in the Limerick Garden of Memories, Limerick, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in his name to the Montgomery County SPCA, 19 East Ridge Pike, Conshohocken, PA 19428 or to the Valley Forge United Methodist Church, 1890 Valley Forge Road, Valley Forge, PA 19481.
