Carol M. (Weir) Eckman, age 76, wife of the late Wilmer Eckman, of Royersford, formerly King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2020 in Phoenixville Hospital. Born on April 30, 1943 in Norristown, she was a daughter of the late J. Davis and Kathryn (Benson) Weir.

Carol was a Class of 1961 graduate of Upper Merion Area High School. She had been a very active member of the First Baptist Church in Norristown, where she sang in the choir, prior to becoming a member of the Upper Merion Baptist Church. She loved trips to the casino, loved to cook and loved crafting, especially sewing. However, her biggest love was time spent with her grandchildren and little ones she was a nanny for. She was in 110 for these children and treated them as if they were her own grandchildren.

Mrs. Eckman is survived by her son: David W., husband of Marie Eckman, of Pottstown, PA; grandchildren: Ashley Eckman, Eric Eckman, Mikayla Eckman, Olivia Eckman, Stephanie Bevan and David Bevan; great-grandchildren: Lyla Robinson and Michael Bevan; siblings: Lynne Eckman, of Audubon and Wayne Weir, of Pottstown; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Carole was preceded in death by her daughter: Karen Bevan and granddaughter: Rachel Bevan.

Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Carol's name to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N.
